This past May, Jennifer and Carl had a beautiful wedding ceremony at St. Sharbel in Peoria. Their reception was held at Embassy Suites in East Peoria. It was a flawless day. All of their family and friends were wonderful, and I truly loved every minute of it.
This couple has been amazing to work with. In recent years, I've captured a fall family session (which, thanks to Carl's surprise proposal, turned into an impromptu engagement session!), Jennifer's son's senior photos, and most recently, Jennifer and Carl's big day! They are so much fun to be around. Jennifer says Carl is the funniest (though she admits sometimes she laughs at his jokes out of kindness), but I really think they both have their funny moments. Humor has always been a huge part of their relationship...especially throughout the process of planning a wedding during a global pandemic.
On their big day, from the moment they were both at the alter, you could just feel the love between the two of them. While Jennifer might generally be the most sentimental, Carl was certainly feeling quite sentimental that day too. They genuinely love being with each other. They enjoy finding new places to vacation, hiking, spending time at the lake, hanging with the kids and friends, and sharing nice dinners at Connected.
Jennifer, who is a huge country music fan by the way, told me about the time she "dragged" Carl to a Luke Bryan concert (whom she has seen 6 times) at Wrigley Field. She recalls was what a great sport he was at the show...even when a storm rolled in, forcing them to seek shelter while the concert was postponed. That is just one of the great examples of the beautiful relationship these two share.
I was honored to help capture this chapter in their journey. I am really looking forward to working with these two again in the future, but for now, I hope you enjoy experiencing this day through some of their photos!
